Professor Jill Downie
Acting Chairperson
Professor Jill Downie is acting as chair of the National Drug Research Institute Board of Management. She is Pro Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University of Technology, and has been on the NDRI Board since August 2007.

Professor Steve Allsop
Executive Officer
Professor Steve Allsop is the Director of the National Drug Research Institute. He has been on the NDRI Board since becoming Director in March 2005.

Mr Eric Dillon
Board Member
Mr Eric Dillon is the Executive Director of the Drug and Alcohol Office of Western Australia. He represents WA Health on the NDRI Board and has been a Board Member since November 2007.

Mr Wayne Gregson
Board Member
Mr Wayne Gregson is the West Australian Police Commissioner’s nominee on the Board. He is Assistant Commissioner in the Specialist Crime Portfolio and has been on the NDRI Board since January 2008.

Ms Virginia Hart
Board Member
Ms Virginia Hart is Assistant Secretary, Population Health Division, Drug Strategy Branch of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. She has been on the NDRI Board since July 2006.

Associate Professor Dan Lubman
Board Member
Dr Dan Lubman is Senior Lecturer in Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne and heads the Substance Use Research and Recovery Focussed (SURRF) Program at ORYGEN Research Centre. He has been on the NDRI Board since January 2008.

Ms Coralie Ober
Board Member
Ms Coralie Ober is a Research Fellow at the Queensland Alcohol & Drug Research and Education Centre (QADREC) at the University of Queensland. She has filled the position of Representative with Expertise on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Issues on the NDRI Board since May 2004.

Mr Charlie Thorn

Mr Charlie Thorn is the Associate Director of Research and Development at Curtin University of Technology. He has been on the NDRI Board since January 2008.
