Support of Tangentyere Council Research Hub

This project aims to build the capacity of Tangentyere Council to conduct its own research into the needs of Aboriginal Town Camp residents in Alice Springs. It has developed out of on long-standing cooperative relationships between Tangentyere Council, NDRI, the Centre for Social Research (ECU) and the Centre for Remote Health (FU & CDU) – including work on 'loss, grief and alcohol', alcohol restrictions in Alice Springs and the development of a night patrol monitoring and evaluation data base. The project includes the provision of training and support for Tangentyere Council staff and collaboration on various current and proposed research projects.
