Introduction

Julia Butt commenced as a Senior Research Fellow with NDRI in September, 2009. Julia is a clinical psychologist who has previously worked as a clinician, clinical supervisor and researcher in both the Indigenous Community Controlled health sector, Government Sector (Queensland Health, QLD; Department of Corrective Services, WA) and she also works in private practise. Her research interests include Indigenous mental health and substance use, development of substance misuse in Indigenous youth, cognitive-motivational predictors of use, Indigenous cannabis use, evaluation of community driven interventions and systemic approaches to research translation. Julia received a Dean's Commendation for excellence in PhD theses from the University of Queensland in 2006. She is currently working at NDRI on a range of collaborative projects with Indigenous communities.
